The history of the Bomber owes its origins to the famous US air force aviator jacket.
We'll tell you all about it at French Market :
Several models of aviator jackets were made by and for the US Army, including the A-2, the B-15 and the famous MA-1.
In the late '50s, the famous MA-1 jacket began to appear in Europe, and in 1963 it was marketed for civilians by Alpha Industries.
At the same time, a number of subcultural movements began to emerge: punks, skinheads even wore the famous .... aviator jacket. The bomber was thus democratized and became an integral part of the
subculture. The MA-1 made its Hollywood debut in 1980 with Steeve McQueen in the film "The Hunter", before returning a few years later with Tom Cruise in the legendary film Top Gun.
Today, the bomber has left its military origins and various cultural movements behind to become an essential piece of men's dressing.
The NBA Basketball and MLB Baseball Leagues release bombers bearing the effigy of clubs such as the Chicago Bulls, Lakers, Celtics, Knicks and also the NY Yankees, LA Dodgers and all the other clubs.
The bomber is appreciated for its cut, uniqueness and comfort, but perhaps also for its history..
